I’m a little mystified by your conclusions, but your make a coherent case. It just hasn’t been my experience. I’m an instructional designer building online courses. I’ll quit before I return to the office. Too many upsides to working from home, too many downsides to going back the office.

Ok. I follow you. I wrote a small book on how to make remote or hybrid work for internships. One thing that stuck with me was that the whole trust thing and sense of belonging was not about a space. People with told me they felt terribly alone in an office as well as a slack channel. It’s the company culture not the location. Side note btw: most of the organizations I work with don’t have a remote button at all; plumbers don’t fix your toilet, builders don’t build your house fully remote. Yet 😇
